Your monthly tuition reserves your place in the studio rather than paying only for individual lessons.

Membership includes:

• Weekly private lessons

• Studio group classes and Piano Clubs throughout the year

• Whole-studio celebrations and community events

• Performance opportunities

• Studio resources and learning materials

• Parent communication and support

• Ongoing curriculum planning

Tuition remains the same each month regardless of the number of lessons in a particular month and reserves your family's place in the studio year-round.

Private lessons are only one part of the learning experience.

Throughout the year, students will also participate in special experiences such as:

• Piano Clubs

• Group workshops

• Masterclasses

• Practice Labs

• Studio Kickoff Night

• Holiday and seasonal celebrations

• Performance classes

• Studio recitals and showcases

These collaborative experiences give students opportunities to perform, learn from one another, build friendships, and develop confidence in ways that simply aren't possible during private lessons alone.

Some weeks, a scheduled private lesson may be replaced by one of these special studio events. These experiences are considered part of your tuition and curriculum.

Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in long-term musical growth and progress.

Tuition reserves a student’s dedicated weekly lesson time, so missed lessons are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. However, reasonable communication and flexibility are always appreciated whenever possible.

If a student is unable to attend an in-person lesson due to illness or weather, online lessons may be offered at the regularly scheduled lesson time when appropriate.

Please communicate scheduling conflicts or absences as early as possible.

Online lessons are designed to provide an engaging, interactive, and highly effective learning experience for modern students and busy families.

Students participating in online lessons should have:
• a reliable internet connection
• a piano or keyboard
• a device with a camera and microphone
• a quiet, well-lit learning space

The camera should be positioned so both the student and keyboard are visible during lessons.

Online students receive the same thoughtful instruction, creativity-focused learning, and musical guidance as in-person students.

Learning music is much like learning a language—it grows through small, consistent practice.

Students are encouraged to practice thoughtfully throughout the week rather than saving everything for one long session before lessons.

Quality matters far more than quantity.

Parents of younger students play an important role by helping establish a regular practice routine and celebrating progress along the way.

Students may receive:

• Printed materials

• Digital resources

• Practice videos

• MusicSense activities

• Games

• Worksheets

• Studio challenges

Many materials have been created specifically for Brittany Brown Piano Studio and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

Students are encouraged to arrive prepared, focused, and ready to engage thoughtfully during lessons.

For in-person lessons:
• Please arrive at your scheduled lesson time
• Drinks with lids are welcome; food should remain outside the studio
• Family members may wait in the waiting area, run errands, or return at pickup time

For online lessons:
• Students should work in a quiet space with minimal distractions
• Devices should remain stable and properly positioned
• Music and materials should be ready before the lesson begins

One of the best parts of learning music is sharing it with others.

Students will have opportunities throughout the year to participate in:

• Recitals

• Informal performance classes

• Piano Parties

• Seasonal celebrations

• Community performances

• Family events

Participation is highly encouraged, as these experiences help students develop confidence, musicianship, and a love for performing.

Studio-wide communication is typically sent through email and/or My Music Staff.

Families and students are always welcome to reach out with questions regarding lessons, scheduling, materials, or musical goals. Communication specific to individual students may take place through email, phone, or text as needed.

This studio operates on a month-to-month membership basis.

Families may discontinue lessons at any time by providing written notice before the next month's tuition is due.

No long-term contract is required, though students generally experience the greatest growth through consistent, long-term study.
